The staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful. I was travelling without my husband on this occasion, and selected the Country Club because I knew I would feel safe during my 4 night stay. Newly refurbished rooms with walk-in shower and comfortable bed. Happy hour in the bar with an open fire is a great way of mingling with other guests before dinner. The breakfast option is amazing value and delicious. I had dinner one evening which was also delicious and good value. The Clare Valley is a wonderful choice for lovely wineries and eating out options, and the Reisling Trail is wonderful for walks and cycling.

Our room was absolutely lovely, very clean. very comfortable bed. Our meal was exceptional, cooked to perfection. We had the dukkah and chicken skewers for entree which was delicious. We both had the steak for mains, one was rare, the other medium rare, and they were exactly that. Potatoes were average and not very many of them. Dessert was quite nice, but all in all we loved our meal. Loved the lounge bar with the fireplace, and the breakfast was very nice too, not too keen on the powdered eggs though and it could have been warmer, but that is probably being a bit picky lol.

The room we were in was newly renovated and was pet friendly. They even provided a comfy dog bed and bowls. Breakfast was standard for this type of accommodation. Very nice walking the dog around the golf course early in the morning with the birds in the gum trees. The lounge bar with fire and chesterfield chairs was very cosy and comfortable. We also took a 6 hour wine tour with lunch included and it was fantastic.

The location was close enough to town for convenience but not to close for noise and disruptions during the stay. The room was clean, the staff were fantastic and willing to help wherever, the restaurant and bar were convenient if you didn’t want to leave the club, the amenities were comfortable and well maintained. They also offered room service and gave you a small brochure on Clare to help ease into your stay.

We had a great experience at Clare country club! We weren’t really sure what we were going to get as some country clubs can be rather outdated… But this one was a welcome surprise! The room we were in looked newly in renovated and the pool was excellent! Even the dinner and food was delicious and the 4 till 6 pm happy hour was a bonus! We will be back
